Home Dog School
Individual training for your dog, starting from home and continuing in their everyday environment. I work directly with your dog while you continue with your day.
What happens during each session?
Each session lasts 45 to 60 minutes. The activities are selected according to your dog's needs and what we observe during the initial assessment.
Walking skills
Walking beside the handler, reducing lead pulling and improving attention during the walk.
Focus and connection
Learning to check in and respond around everyday distractions.
Useful skills
Practical exercises chosen for your dog's routine and current level.
Structured play
Play with simple rules that support connection, self-control and enjoyment.
Calm behaviour
Practising how to settle in an appropriate place while out of the house.
Everyday environments
Gradual practice around the places and distractions your dog encounters regularly.
How does it work?
Initial assessment
We first assess your dog's needs, environment, goals and suitability for sessions without the owner.
Individual session
I meet your dog at home and work one-on-one for 45 to 60 minutes in an appropriate environment.
Session update
After the session, you receive a clear summary with photos and videos of the work completed.

Before starting: an initial assessment is required. This allows us to choose appropriate goals and confirm that this service is suitable for your dog.
Service information
Where is the service available?
This service is available for homes located within approximately 20 minutes of Fortitude Valley.
Can reactive dogs join?
It depends on the intensity and context of the reactivity. Suitability is decided after the initial assessment, with safety and the dog's wellbeing as priorities.
Does the owner need to join the session?
No. I work directly with your dog. You will receive a summary, photos and videos after the session.
Can I reschedule?
Yes. Sessions can be rescheduled when at least 24 hours' notice is provided.
Is this the same as Functional Training?
No. Home Dog School is a one-on-one service where I train your dog for you. Functional Training is a more personalised coaching session in which the owner participates and learns how to continue the exercises.
